Raz Merhav Farjun - Israeli Artist
Hello, I am Raz Merhav Farjun, an Israeli artist and animation filmmaker based in Kibbutz Zikim. The source of my art is painting, my anchor, and I always return to it. Over the years, it has also developed into sculpture and set decor. Following them came the animation, which became a main area of my creation.
When someone looks at my works, I think that the words "nature" and "emotion" will be among the first that come to mind. Nature is a great teacher for me, from large landscapes to a lichen on a stone. In nature, I see the movement of life, figures, and relationships. Inspired by it, I create textures, stains, and lines. Carried slowly through its turbulences and those inside me.
I graduated from the animation department at the Bezalel Academy of Arts And Design, specializing in stop motion. The films that I created in Bezalel have appeared at film festivals around the world. On these days, I create my first independent film.
